Beals Soundwalk

Welcome to The First Coast’s Beals Island Soundwalk.

Explore a selection of Beals Island stories and sounds in a unique way! This immersive audio soundwalk, created by College of the Atlantic student Ellie White, takes you on a journey through Beals Island’s culture and landscape. You can enjoy this walk on-site or from the comfort of your own home! Listen via Soundcloud below or on the mp3 player provided to you at the Beals Heritage Center.

The walk begins on the memorial bricks at the Beals Heritage Center (Big Pond Rd, Beals Island, Maine). If you visit the Beals Heritage Center during business hours, you can get a physical copy of the Soundwalk Map below. If not, please refer to the map on this webpage. The audio of the soundwalk itself will also provide easy-to-follow instructions and directions!

Please pay attention to roadways while you walk, and to other travelers on your course.
